Violation of SOPs, several shops sealed, 76 arrested in Peshawar

PESHAWAR : Pakistan Army and police sealed several shops for violating SOPs and arrested 76 people.

 

According to the administration, Kohat Road, Ring Road, Qissa Khawani and inner city bazaars were inspected. 35 shops were sealed for violating SOPs while 76 people were arrested for not wearing masks. According to the administration, a private school in Chamkani area has also been sealed where students were being called daily despite the ban.

 

On the other hand, according to the latest figures from the National Command and Operations Center, 108 people died from the corona virus, bringing the death toll to 18,537. The number of confirmed cases of Corona in Pakistan has reached 845,833.

 

During the last 24 hours, 4,198 new cases were reported, 312,522 in Punjab, 288,680 in Sindh, 121,728 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 22,900 in Balochistan and 5,355 in Gilgit-Baltistan. 77,065 cases were reported in Islamabad while 17,583 cases were reported in Azad Kashmir.

 

So far 12 million 56 thousand 986 people have been tested across the country, 46 thousand 467 new tests have been done in the last 24 hours, so far 743 thousand 124 patients have recovered while 5 thousand 624 patients are in critical condition.

In one day, 108 people died from corona in Pakistan, bringing the death toll from the virus to 18,537. 8,809 patients died in Punjab, 4,691 in Sindh, 3,497 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 699 in Islamabad, 240 in Balochistan, 107 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 494 in Azad Kashmir.
