Chief Minister Usman Bazdar’s recommendation to deploy independent observers on the barrages of Punjab and Sindh

LAHORE : Chief Minister Usman Bazdar recommended the deployment of independent observers on the barrages of Punjab and Sindh.

The Punjab Chief Minister said that the deployment of independent observers would provide accurate data on water discharge. The move will help distribute water scarcity fairly among the provinces. The deployment of observers will help clear up misunderstandings between the provinces over the water issue.

The Punjab Chief Minister also invited parliamentarians from all over the country, especially from Sindh, to visit the barrages of Punjab. He said that parliamentarians from all over the country especially from Sindh should come to Punjab and visit the barrages of Punjab and see with their own eyes how we are making water discharge reporting transparent in this system. If we want to solve this problem, we have to tear down these walls instead of building walls around us. I assure the farmers of Punjab that I will solve their problems regarding water.
