ICC seeks to include cricket in Los Angeles Olympics

DUBAI : The International Cricket Council (ICC) has launched an effort to include cricket in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

The ICC has set up a working committee to bid for the inclusion of cricket in the Olympics. ICC Chairman Greg Barclay says there are cricket fans all over the world, especially in South Asia where our 92% are spectators while there are about 30 million cricket fans in the United States itself and all the spectators want to see their heroes compete for the Olympic medal. The addition of cricket to the Olympic Games will benefit both cricket and the Olympics.

He said that the inclusion of cricket in the 2028 Olympics would also satisfy the fans and it would be a great addition to the Olympics. The ICC is making every effort to include cricket in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
