Preparations for the Independence Day celebrations are in full swing

KARACHI : Preparations are in full swing for the grand celebration of Independence Day in Urdu Bazaar, Kaghazi Bazaar, Nazimabad, Pakistan Chowk, Landhi, Malir, Gulistan-e-Jauhar and other areas of the city. Badges are being sold, stalls of Kashmir flags with national flags have been set up on all busy highways of the city, most areas of the city have been decorated with electric light bulbs and national flags.

 

And national flags have been hoisted at the offices of autonomous bodies, while motorcycle rallies are being held in most parts of the city in connection with the Independence Day celebrations. Most areas of the city have been decorated with electric lights.

 

Meanwhile, preparations have been made by various parties to celebrate Independence Day in full swing. Amir Muhammad Hussain Mohanti of Jamaat-e-Islami Sindh has announced to celebrate Independence Day on August 14 from Karachi to Kashmore. Rallies, processions, seminars and flag-raising ceremonies will be organized in Pakistan, says Sunni Mohammad Sarwat Ejaz Qadri, leader of Hareek, has said that Independence Day will be celebrated in a grand manner. Meetings, processions and cake-cutting ceremonies will be held on Independence Day across the country.

 

Workers will decorate their houses and streets with green crescent flags, express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris and Indian flags will be burnt.
