Mobile phone service suspended in Quetta

QUETTA : Mobile phone service has been suspended in Quetta on the occasion of 7th Muharram. The procession will be taken out from Mekangi Road this afternoon.

Mobile phone services of various companies have been shut down in different parts of the city since morning and services of all mobile companies are currently suspended.

According to Home Department sources, it was decided to shut down the mobile phone service on the occasion of Muharram 7 due to security concerns and the service has been shut down under the same decision.

According to sources, restoration of mobile phone services is likely to take place overnight.
