30% of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa population vaccinated: Health Minister

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Timur Saleem Jhagra says 30 per cent of the province’s population has been vaccinated against the corona virus, with a target of vaccinating 200,000 people a day in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

 

Speaking at a press conference in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Timur Saleem Jhagra said that if the fourth wave of corona virus had to be intensified, more would be done.

 

He said that action would be taken against those who forged vaccination certificates and SIMs and salaries of those who did not get vaccinated could also be stopped.

 

 

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister says 30% of the population in the province has benefited from the first dose of corona vaccine.

 

He says the fourth corona wave is intensifying, but only 2% of corona patients in hospitals have been vaccinated and are therefore out of danger.

 

Timur Saleem Jhagra says vaccination is underway at more than 750 vaccination centers across the province.

 

 

In Chitral, the first dose of the vaccine has been given to 65 per cent of the population, while the second dose has been given to 40 per cent of the population, the KP health minister said.

 

He added that Saturday and Sunday holidays would be maintained in the province, adding that the process of vaccination against corona virus was better in the merged districts as well.

 

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa health minister also said that more than 750 vaccination centers have been set up across the province.
