Shahbaz Sharif’s August 14 message, flag hoisting

LAHORE : A flag hoisting ceremony was held at the PML-N Central Secretariat in Lahore where PML-N President Mian Shahbaz Sharif unfurled the flag.

A special prayer for peace and security of the country was also offered at the ceremony.

The message issued by Mian Shahbaz Sharif to the nation on the occasion of Independence Day said that the country was achieved as a result of eternal sacrifices and a great struggle.

He said that the Muslims of India made history with their full struggle under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam. Today we have emerged on the world map as an independent nation.

The PML-N President said that PML-N under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif served the country, PML-N always strived to give Pakistan a place of honor in the world, made the defense of the country invincible.

“During our tenure, we eliminated power outages, laid a network of motorways across the country, and made historic investments under C-Pack,” he added.

Shahbaz Sharif also said that there is a need to unite the nation by adopting brotherhood, tolerance and forbearance.
