Haider Ali of Pakistan won a gold medal in the Paralympics discus throw

Haider Ali of Pakistan has won the first gold medal for Pakistan in the men’s discus throw event at the Tokyo Paralympics in Japan.

 

Haider Ali of Pakistan won the gold medal in the Paralympics discus throw event, he threw 47.84 meters in the third round and won the gold medal in the fifth round with a throw of 55.26 meters.

 

In the Paralympics discus throw, Ukraine’s Zabniak won the silver medal with a throw of 52.43 meters, while Brazil’s Tekshira de Souza won the bronze medal with a throw of 51.86 meters.

 

 

Haider Ali is the first Pakistani to win a gold medal in the Paralympics, for which he is receiving full credit, while he has won two Paralympic medals for Pakistan before.

 

It may be mentioned here that Haider Ali, while talking to the media before these competitions, also complained about the lack of training facilities and wastage of time due to Corona virus.

 

He said that due to the Corona epidemic, all the places where we could train were closed and because of this we faced significant difficulties and could not train for several days. It was a very difficult day.

“We had a lot of problems with training, but we kept going because we had to prepare for the scheduled competitions in Tokyo,” he said.
