Chinese Foreign Minister Expresses Strengthening Friendly Cooperation With Iran

In a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Hussein Amir Abdullahian, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi expressed his desire to strengthen friendly cooperation with Iran.


The Chinese Foreign Minister said that last month, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-Iranian diplomatic relations, the leaders of the two countries had set a new direction for the future of Sino-Iranian relations in their telephone conversation. China is willing to work with Iran to expand friendly cooperation and exchanges in various fields, jointly promote multilateralism and safeguard the sovereignty and integrity of the two countries in order to reach a common consensus between the two leaders. ۔


He said that comprehensive cooperation between the two countries is in the long-term interest of both the countries. He thanked Iran for its support on important issues related to China’s sovereignty.
