Sudanese security forces shot dead three protesters during a recent anti-insurgency rally.

Thousands strike in Sudan’s capital, Khartoum, as security forces crack down on protesters, security forces say.

According to an AFP correspondent, thousands of people took to the streets in Sudan on Monday to protest the military coup that took place almost three months ago, during which tear gas shells were fired by security forces.

A large number of security officials have been deployed in place of protesters who raised the capital of the Sudanese flag, as well as in other cities.
